Sweet Crunchy Peanut Popcorn

A sweet popcorn with a light caramel-style coating of butter, sugar and chopped peanuts. The WOW Popcorn Maker pops the kernels without oil and then goes back in the microwave for two short bursts that melt the sugar onto the popcorn.

Method

  1. Mash the softened butter with the sugar in a small bowl. Chop the peanuts finely in the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper Compact.

  2. Put the kernels, with nothing else, in the Tupperware WOW Popcorn Maker. Set the cover in the open position, with its vented side lined up over the holes in the base.

  3. Microwave on high power (1000 W maximum) for about 3 minutes, staying close by. Stop as soon as the pops are about 2 seconds apart; depending on your microwave this can take a little more or less than 3 minutes.

  4. With the cover still open, shake the unpopped kernels out through the holes in the base.

  5. Add the sugared butter and the peanuts to the hot popcorn, close the cover and shake for 20 seconds. Microwave for 15 seconds (the cover can stay closed), shake, then microwave for 15 seconds more.
