Method

  1. Blot the sun-dried tomatoes on kitchen paper, cut them into 1 cm (1/2 in) pieces and chop them finely in the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper Compact.

  2. Take out the blade, add the oregano, salt and soft butter to the chopper bowl and blend everything together with the Tupperware Silicone Spatula.

  3. Pour the kernels, and nothing else, into the Tupperware WOW Popcorn Maker with the glass plate in the bottom. Fit the lid in the open position, with the vented side lined up over the holes in the base, so steam can escape.

  4. Microwave at full power (1000 W maximum) for about 3 minutes, staying close by. Stop as soon as the popping slows to roughly one pop every 2 seconds; depending on your oven this may take a little more or less than 3 minutes.

  5. Keeping the lid in the open position, turn the popcorn maker over and shake so the unpopped kernels fall out through the holes in the base.

  6. Add the tomato butter to the hot popcorn at once, turn the lid to the closed position and shake gently for about 30 seconds until the butter has melted. If it has not fully melted, microwave for 10 to 20 seconds at 600 W and shake again.

  7. Serve straight away, or leave uncovered at room temperature and eat within a few hours.

Blotting the tomatoes well matters: excess oil makes the popcorn soggy. The tomato butter can be made a day ahead and kept in the fridge in a small Tupperware container; let it soften before using.
