Ingredients

8pieces

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 190 °C (375 °F).

  2. If making the pesto, put the olive oil, Parmesan, garlic, basil, salt and pepper in the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper Compact and pull the cord until you have a smooth sauce.

  3. Cut the puff pastry into 8 tall triangles. Lay them on the lightly floured Tupperware Flexible Cutting Board and make a row of diagonal cuts along both long sides of each triangle, leaving a strip uncut down the middle.

  4. Transfer the triangles to a silicone baking sheet set on the cold oven rack and give each cut strip a light twist to form the branches.

  5. Brush the trees with 2 tbsp of pesto using the Tupperware Silicone Brush, sprinkle with the Parmesan and bake for about 12 minutes, until puffed and golden.

Any tip for success?

The homemade pesto makes more than you need here: keep the rest in a small Tupperware container, covered with a thin layer of olive oil, for up to 4 days in the fridge. For a variation, brush the trees with tapenade, or with egg yolk and a dusting of icing sugar and cinnamon for a sweet version.
