Spring Pita Sandwich

Two soft yogurt flatbreads, split and filled with cream cheese, baby spinach, ham and Emmental. The MicroPro Grill browns the dough on both sides in a few minutes in the microwave, so there is no need to heat the oven for homemade bread.

Method

  1. Stir the yeast into the water in a Tupperware shaker and leave it for a few minutes to rehydrate.

  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Add the yeast mixture, oil and yogurt, stir, then knead until the dough no longer sticks. Cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes.

  3. Cut the dough in half. On a lightly floured surface, roll each piece with the Tupperware Modulo Rolling Pin into a round the size of the cooking ring.

  4. Set the cooking ring in the centre of the Tupperware MicroPro Grill, lay one round inside and cook for about 5 minutes at 900 W with the lid in the low position. Turn it over and cook about 1 minute 30 seconds more at 900 W.

  5. Cook the second round the same way, shortening both times slightly, as the grill is already hot.

  6. Split each flatbread with a bread knife. Spread generously with cream cheese, then add the washed spinach, the ham and the Emmental grated with the Grate 'n Store.
