Chickpea and Mushroom Stuffing

A holiday stuffing made with lightly mashed chickpeas instead of bread, flavoured with sautéed mushrooms, celery, green apple and sage. The vegetables are browned in the Universal Fry Pan, then the stuffing sets in the MicroPro Grill in the microwave, which frees up the oven for the roast.

Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in the Tupperware Universal Fry Pan over medium heat and cook the onion until lightly browned. Add the celery and mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until soft and golden. Stir in the garlic and cook until fragrant.

  2. Pour in the stock, scrape the bottom of the pan and take it off the heat.

  3. In the medium Tupperware Thatsa Bowl, mix the chickpeas with the egg. Add the cooked vegetables and the apple, season with the sage, salt and pepper and mix well.

  4. Spread the mixture in the base of the Tupperware MicroPro Grill, put the cover on in casserole position and microwave at full power (1000 W) for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
