  2. Dip the brioche slices into the mixture one at a time, turning them so they soak it up generously.

  3. Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan. Once it foams, add the soaked slices and cook for 10 to 12 minutes in total, turning them with a wide spatula so both sides are well browned.

  4. Dust with icing sugar and keep warm until serving.
