Orange Semolina Cake

A set semolina pudding in the shape of a crown, made with milk, sugar and orange zest and cooked in a saucepan in about 10 minutes. The Jel Ring gives it a neat ring shape and releases it cleanly once it has cooled and firmed up.

Method

  1. Beat the eggs in a Tupperware Wonderlier Bowl and set aside.

  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring the milk, sugar and orange zest to the boil.

  3. Sprinkle in the semolina a little at a time, stirring after each addition. Once it is all in, let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring without stopping.

  4. Take the pan off the heat, pour in the beaten eggs and keep stirring for about 30 seconds.

  5. Rinse the inside of the Tupperware Jel Ring with ice-cold water, then pour in the semolina mixture. Leave to cool completely, about 2 hours.

  6. Turn out onto a plate, decorate with orange zest or peel curls if you like, and keep in the fridge until serving.
