Salmon Rillettes

A spreadable salmon pâté made from canned and smoked salmon, softened butter, cream and lemon, with snipped dill folded through for texture. Set in the Gourmet Mould, it turns out as a neat ring to serve with toast, which looks far better on the table than a bowl.

In brief Salmon Rillettes is a starters recipe cooked in the Tupperware Silicone mould. It takes 191 minutes in total and serves 6 servings.

Method

  1. Drain the canned salmon in the Tupperware Double Colander and remove any skin and bones.

  2. Soften the butter in the Tupperware MicroCook Pitcher 1 l for 30 to 45 seconds at 360 W, so it is soft but not melted.

  3. Blend both kinds of salmon with the butter, cream and lemon juice in the Tupperware Extra Chef. Remove the three blades, then stir in salt, pepper and the dill with a silicone spatula, keeping one sprig for decoration.

  4. Oil the Tupperware Gourmet Mould with a silicone brush, spoon in the mixture and leave to set in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours.

  5. Turn out the rillettes, decorate with dill fronds and serve with toasted country bread.
