Flourless Black Bean Brownies

Dense chocolate brownies with no wheat flour: puréed black beans and ground oats give them body, and the bean liquid replaces eggs. The SuperSonic Chopper blends the batter from start to finish, and the silicone rectangular mould releases the brownies without greasing.

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C).

  2. Put the black beans and aquafaba in the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper Extra and pull the cord until smooth.

  3. Grind the oats in the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper Compact until they look like flour.

  4. Add the oat flour to the bean purée with the oil, vanilla, cocoa, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Close and pull the cord until the batter is smooth and even.

  5. Take out the blade and fold in most of the chocolate chips, keeping a handful back. Spread the batter in the Tupperware silicone rectangular mould, level the top and scatter over the remaining chips.

  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick pushed into the centre comes out clean. Leave to cool completely in the mould before cutting into squares.
