Method

  1. Heat the oven to 400 °F (200 °C). In a bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1/3 cup (65 g) of the sugar until smooth.

  2. Dust a board with 1 tbsp of the flour and unfold one pastry sheet on it. Cut it into six equal rectangles and move them to the Tupperware Silicone Baking Sheet with rim.

  3. Pipe or spoon 1 tbsp of the cream cheese filling in a line along one long side of each rectangle. Roll up, dab a little water on the far edge to seal, and pinch the ends closed. Repeat with the remaining flour, pastry and filling.

  4. Refrigerate the rolls for at least 10 minutes.

  5. Meanwhile, stir 1/2 cup (100 g) of the sugar into the water in a 2-cup (500 ml) microwave-safe pitcher. Cover and microwave on high power (1000 W) in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until the sugar has dissolved. Leave to cool.

  6. Brush the rolls with the syrup, sprinkle with the remaining sugar and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until puffed and golden. Cool for 5 minutes and serve at room temperature.
