Microwave Béchamel Sauce

Method

  1. Melt the butter in the Tupperware MicroCook Pitcher 1 l for about 15 seconds at 600 W.

  2. Stir in the flour, salt, pepper and a little grated nutmeg.

  3. Add the milk a little at a time, stirring constantly so no lumps form.

  4. Cover and microwave for about 4 minutes at 600 W, stirring halfway through. Stir again and leave to stand for 5 minutes.

  5. If the sauce is still too thin, heat it again in 1-minute bursts at 600 W, stirring in between.
