Fig, Walnut and Sesame Bread

A large country loaf filled with chopped dried figs, walnuts and toasted sesame seeds, made without kneading on a board. The dough rises in the covered Ultra Pro 3.5 l inside a barely warm oven, then bakes in the same dish, which gives the bread its shape and keeps the crust tender.

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 60 °C (140 °F).

  2. In the Tupperware Measuring Jug 1 l, stir the yeast and sugar together with the Tupperware Mixing Spoon, then add the water little by little, stirring until smooth.

  3. Put the flour and salt in the Tupperware Mixing Bowl 3.5 l. Pour in the yeast mixture gradually and keep stirring with the Mixing Spoon until the dough comes away cleanly; if it still sticks, add a little more flour and stir again.

  4. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry Tupperware Chef Series 20 cm frying pan until golden. Cut the figs into small dice with the Chef Series paring knife. Work the sesame, walnuts and figs evenly into the dough.

  5. Place the dough in the Tupperware Ultra Pro 3.5 l, put the lid on and leave it to rise in the warm oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until it fills the dish.

  6. Without taking the dish out, turn the oven up to 200 °C (400 °F) and bake for 45 minutes with the lid on.

  7. Turn the loaf out as soon as it comes out of the oven and leave it to cool on a rack.
