Steamed Fruit Skewers with Strawberry Coulis

Method

  1. Core or stone the fruit as needed and cut it into thick wedges.

  2. Thread the wedges onto small skewers, slipping a verbena or mint leaf between the pieces.

  3. Pour 400 ml (1 2/3 cups) water into the reservoir of the Tupperware Micro Vap' steamer and add the half vanilla pod and the remaining leaves. Lay the skewers in the lower colander and set it on the reservoir.

  4. Put the lid on and microwave for 12 minutes at 800 W. Leave to stand for 5 minutes, then let the fruit cool a little.

  5. Wash and hull the strawberries and blend them with the sugar in the Tupperware Quick Chef. Serve the coulis with the skewers, warm or cold.
